Case Study: Rebuilding Media Relationships

In Spring 2024, the Boston Society for Architecture (BSA) hosted their 33rd annual KidsBuild! event where 800+ kids came together to build the city of Boston out of recycled materials. This free event is part of the BSA's K-12 design education programming providing access to students across Boston to the architecture field and aiming to close education gaps at Greater Boston schools. It was our first year working with BSA on KidsBuild! and the Boston media really came out! Check out the stories on 7 NEWS WHDH-TV, Boston.com and WBZ Radio.

When we were hired to work with the BSA, the main goal was to reintroduce the non-profit to the Boston media and start to rebuild the media relationships that had dwindle in the previous several years. We’d consider this event and the media coverage a successful step in that journey!

Since BSA engaged our services, we’ve secured over 40 pieces of coverage and have had many reporters come back to the non-profit for additional stories. We have positioned key leaders in the BSA organization as resources across a plethora of topics that impact the built environment in Boston - from climate change to affordable housing to education.

If you are looking to connect with or strategies reengage the media, send us a note!
