Happy Birthday to Us!

Wow, exactly three years ago on June 1, 2021, we launched 143 Communications with our first two clients, Lilibridge and Brahmin. The lead up to our launch was both intimidating and maybe even scary for the both of us. Many COVID restrictions were still in place, childcare was limited (and between the two of us we had four children under the age of four) and we had only ever worked under the “safety” of a big corporation. But here we both were, jumping into the deep end of the pool and becoming entrepreneurs!

It’s impossible to recap the entire past three years, but some of the things that really stood out for us include the primal Mom Scream during the global pandemic that captured the interest of CNN, NBC, FOX and many national media outlets. Those were some crazy times!

Through our work, we’ve also had the opportunity to visit some pretty amazing places such as the Livermore Valley wine region, home to the Livermore Valley Wine Community, for their marquee TASTE event where we hosted members of the media who were there to judge the food and wine competition.

Locally in the Boston area, our friends over at CBS Boston did a fantastic segment last spring on Summer Stars, a free camp for the performing arts for economically disadvantaged kids. And on another occasion, we visited the studios of CBS Boston where Alileo Co-Founders, Antonio Bertone and Alexandra Drane, spoke about their Sicilian natural wine startup.

We’ve also been lucky to represent some pretty amazing female clients, including Livermore’s fabulous women winemakers who were featured on NBC Bay Area for this past year’s Women’s History Month. Curl Cult, who’s Founder Janine Jarman, permed Portio de Rossi’s hair and was featured in PEOPLE. And then most recently, Rydir, which was recently featured as a Spring Travel favorite in Woman’s World

We’re incredibly appreciative of all our clients, both past and present, as well as the work we’ve been able to achieve for them over the past three years. But, one final milestone that really stands out is when Jamie’s journey to entrepreneurism was featured in Business Insider where the final portion of the article reads:

For moms like LaDuca, scaling her business is about more than her own success. It's one way she can set a good example for her daughter.

"I'm hoping my business keeps growing, and my business partner and I are able to show our kids what you really can do on your own," she said.

If having our own business can show our kids that anything is possible if you work hard and love what you’re doing, I think we’ll both feel pretty satisfied that we’ve achieved real success.

Cheers to what’s to come!
